Here in Yesterday I was surfing around on YouTube (yes, it happens), I came across some clips from old computer game that I spent a lot of time in my younger days. I especially remember Spider-Man Cartoon Maker, which, as the title suggests, a program to create your own cartoons with Spider-Man. It was developed by Knowledge Adventure in 1995 for Windows 3.1 and was surprisingly successful piece "educational software". It was an extremely simple drawing program that made it possible for me and my friends from kindergarten / early primary school to realize our dream of becoming filmmakers. Although it was much more a group of static scene pictures where you could draw different Spider-Man characters around the screen, the game had a certain charm. All the characters had their own animations disney shopping and sound cues that are played as that moved them around disney shopping with the mouse. Bargain was their votes translated into Danish disney shopping (!). Although the game looks primitive out with today's eyes, you could actually make quite sophisticated film with simple tools. You could even record your own sounds if you were lucky enough to own a microphone. It's hard to put into words how many memories it evokes when I see clips of people on YouTube who have made cartoons Spider-Man Cartoon Maker. It was truly good times back when you did not care about anything but just had fun with his friends. I would give anything to be allowed to live kindergarten-aged again. Later I even grab a Batman version, which was the same concept just with other characters (Spider-Man disney shopping has always been the coolest in my eyes). Along with games like SimPark, Hugo Troll, The Lion King, and various learning programs like Quick and Moomins Play Hide and seek, they constituted a large part of my childhood and helped to arouse my interest in the game medium. It gives me a nostalgic feeling to think back to all the old PC games that we amused ourselves by then. Too bad enough I have no idea where these games are today, but I fear a little that my mother threw them out. Whatever it is doubtful that the games would be able to run on modern computers. But it could now be fun to try them again.
